The exhibition 'The Orphans Speak' provides an insight into the daily lives of the orphans who lived in the orphanage on the Hooglandse Kerkgracht from 1583 to 1961. At its peak, it was estimated that more than 1,250 children lived there.

Part of the exhibition is a visit to the living room of the so-called inner father and mother, the Regents' room and the former children's room.
There is also a moving film with interviews of former orphans and a film about the construction history of the building.
